Remembering Wildlife, the charity photobook series, returns with another breathtaking edition. Here’s an exclusive look at Remembering Tigers…
Remembering Wildlife, the groundbreaking charity photobook series, has returned with its ninth stunning edition, Remembering Tigers.
In the past several years, more than 47,000 copies of the photobooks have been sold worldwide, accumulating more than £1.15 million in donations to conservation projects.
As with all previous books, all profits from the sale of Remembering Tigers – a hardback coffee table book filled with 88 breathtaking images taken by international world-class photographers – will go towards protecting the world’s largest big cat.
Tigers can be found from sub-tropical forests to snow-covered mountains across Asia. Despite their versatility in habitat, tigers are listed as ‘Endangered’ by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) with just 5,500 remaining in the wild and restricted to just 10% of their historical habitat. The good news is, their population numbers have increased in recent years thanks to critical conservation work.
Remembering Wildlife Founder Margot Raggett MBE said: “It’s an oft-quoted fact that there are more tigers in captivity in the US than there are left in the world, a stark reminder of how the future of tigers might end if conservationists do not continue their focus and their fight.
“Tigers are a bellwether for the health of an ecosystem. For every tiger protected in the forest, there are plants, trees, insects, birds and other mammals who thrive.”
Remembering Tigers is available to buy now from Remembering Wildlife’s official website. Wanderlust members also have the chance to WIN a copy of the photobook here.
